(MyKeeneNow) – As the new school year kicks off, the 2024-2025 season is set to begin.  From Aug. 19th through Sept. 1, student-athletes will compete in a series of scrimmages, games, and tournaments.

Key Events to Watch:

  • Wednesday, Aug. 21: The Girls Varsity Field Hockey team will have an inter-squad scrimmage at KHS Foster Field starting at 4 p.m. This will be a great opportunity to see the team’s skills in action ahead of the season.
  • Friday, Aug. 23: The Girls Varsity Field Hockey team will head to Plymouth for a scrimmage. The exact time is to be determined, but the team is set to depart at 7 a.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 24: A busy day of sports action is scheduled. The Girls Varsity Soccer team will host a multi-team scrimmage at KHS Scripture Field starting at 8:30 a.m., featuring teams from Brattleboro, Fall Mountain, Con-Val, and Monadnock. Later, at 10 a.m., the Boys Varsity Football team will travel to Dover for a scrimmage.
  • Sunday, Aug. 25: Both the Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity Field Hockey teams will participate in tournaments at Enfield, Connecticut, with early morning departures scheduled.
  • Monday, Aug. 26, 2024: The Boys Junior Varsity Soccer team will scrimmage against Fall Mountain at KHS Scripture Field at 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 27: Boys Varsity and Junior Varsity Soccer will both face Brattleboro in scrimmages at KHS Scripture Field, starting at 4:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 28: The Boys Varsity Golf team will compete against Dover, Pinkerton, and Bedford, while the Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball team will scrimmage against Fall Mountain. In the afternoon, the Girls Varsity Field Hockey team will play a scrimmage against Hanover at KHS Foster Field, followed by the Girls Varsity Volleyball team traveling to Fall Mountain.
  • Thursday, Aug. 29: Boys Varsity and Junior Varsity Soccer teams will play Manchester Memorial at KHS Scripture Field, with both games kicking off at 4:30 p.m. Later, Coed Varsity Bass Fishing tryouts will be held at Lake Spofford.
  • Friday, Aug. 30: The Girls Varsity Field Hockey team will host Exeter at KHS Foster Field at 4:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the Girls Junior Varsity and Varsity Soccer teams will face Coe-Brown at KHS Scripture Field, with games beginning at 4:30 p.m. The day will conclude with the Girls Junior Varsity Field Hockey game against Exeter at 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, Aug. 31: The Co-ed Varsity Bass Fishing team will participate in an invitational on the Connecticut River in Walpole. Later that morning, at 10 a.m., the Boys Varsity Football team will scrimmage against Hanover.
