KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Jenna Pearson, owner and head butcher of local establishment Jenna’s Market, was seriously injured Tuesday morning in a workplace accident during routine deli preparation.

According to a statement released by the business in a social media posat, Pearson suffered a severe laceration that completely severed her radial artery. The injury occurred inside the market’s deli area. Staff on-site responded immediately, applying a tourniquet and calling emergency services. Thanks to their swift action, Pearson received life-saving care at the scene before being transported to Cheshire Medical Center, where surgeons performed emergency treatment.

As of Wednesday morning, Pearson is in stable condition and recovering. Staff report that she is already asking about the shop and eager to return to work.

Due to the incident, Jenna’s Market remained closed on Tuesday while the team focused on Pearson’s care and ensured the premises were safe for reopening. The market has announced it would resume normal business hours on Wednesday.

“We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our customers,” the market’s team said in a public message. “Your kindness means the world to Jenna and everyone here.”
