KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Keene resident Esther Norris has finally claimed victory in the annual WKBK Snow Prediction Contest after more than 20 years of participation.

Her accurate prediction of four inches of snowfall for the recent storm, which began Wednesday night, secured her win.

The announcement came during Good Morning with Dan Mitchell today on WKBK radio. Norris not only nailed the snowfall total but came closest among other contestants who had predicted the correct date, Dec. 4.

Her prize is a $200 gift card to Northeast Mountain Trading Post in Brattleboro.

The contest is a long-held tradition in Keene, with community members eagerly calling in on the same day each year to guess the timing and total of the season’s first significant snowfall. Predictions are measured directly outside WKBK’s studios on Stanhope Avenue.

Congratulations to Esther Norris!
