KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Cynthia R. Georgina, 89, a longtime WKBK Radio host and respected civic leader in Keene, died Jan. 22, 2026, at Cheshire Medical Center Dartmouth Hitchcock.

Georgina was a familiar and trusted voice to listeners throughout the Monadnock Region for decades, best known for her work on WKBK’s local talk programming, including “Talk Back with Cynthia & Friends.” Airing on Saturday mornings, the program became a forum for thoughtful discussion of community issues, drawing steady participation from listeners and earning a reputation for civility and fairness.

Known for her calm, respectful approach, Georgina encouraged callers with differing viewpoints and believed strongly in informed public dialogue. Her programs often focused on local government, education, and community concerns, reflecting her deep engagement in civic life.

In addition to her radio career, Georgina served multiple terms on the Keene City Council, where she was known for her preparation, accessibility, and commitment to public service. Her experience in local government informed her work on the air, and she frequently cited the value of radio as a way to hear directly from residents whose voices might otherwise go unheard.
