MONADNOCK REGION, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) As Valentine’s Day approaches, local venues across southwestern New Hampshire and Brattleboro, VT, are offering a range of events — from romantic trivia and classical music to youth dances and hands-on workshops — giving couples, friends and families plenty of ways to celebrate.
Friday, Feb. 13
Romantic Trivia And Valentine Card Exhibit
5-8 p.m.
Jaffrey Civic Center, 40 Main St., Jaffrey
The Jaffrey Civic Center and the Jaffrey Center Village Improvement Society will host an evening of romantic-themed trivia, appetizers and Prosecco, along with a homemade Valentine card exhibit.
Teams of up to seven players can compete. Admission is $20 per person, and proceeds will benefit the Jaffrey Monthly Community Suppers.

Get Lucky Valentine’s Makers’ Market
5-9 p.m.
Brewbakers Cafe, Keene
Brewbakers will host its first Valentine’s Day Makers’ Market, featuring handmade gifts including candles, jewelry, ceramics, embroidered decor and scarves.
The event will also include a photo booth by Gnome Studio, craft activities with WakaDoodles, a flower bar by Billies + Tilli and food and drink specials.

Youth Valentine’s Dance
6-8 p.m.
ELMM Community Center, 21 Durkee St., Winchester
Children in prekindergarten through sixth grade and their families are invited to a free Valentine’s dance featuring music, snacks and activities.
Parents of children age 5 and older must sign them in and out if dropping off.

Y4C Valentine’s Day Teen Dance
7-10 p.m.
The Root Social Justice Center, 28 Williams St., Brattleboro, VT
Youth ages 14-18 are invited to a teen-led Valentine’s dance celebrating “love in all its forms.” The evening will include music, snacks and Valentine’s-themed crafts.
Organizers suggest a $1-$10 donation, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Violin Sonatas By Schumann, Beethoven And Schubert

Ashuelot Concerts will present a Valentine’s weekend program featuring Schumann’s Violin Sonata in A minor, Beethoven’s Sonata for Piano and Violin in G major and Schubert’s “Fantasie” in C major.
Tickets range from free for those under 18 to $50 for premium seating.

Singing Valentines Delivered In Four-Part Harmony

Quartets from the Cheshiremen Barbershop Chorus will deliver singing valentines across the Monadnock Region, featuring two love songs in four-part harmony, a red rose, sweet treats and a photo.
Delivery fees range from $65 to $85.

Couples Woodworking: Paired Charcuterie Boards
1-4 p.m.
HatchSpace, 22 High St., third floor, Brattleboro, VT
Couples or friends can design and create matching charcuterie boards in a guided woodworking workshop designed for beginners. Participants will learn to use shop tools and apply a food-safe finish.
Cost is $165 per couple for nonmembers and $140.25 for members, plus a $30 materials fee.
