KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Nearly a year and a half after the tragic death of 23-month-old Luca Hudson in Keene, a Cheshire County Grand Jury has handed up an indictment against his mother’s boyfriend, 22-year-old Annthoni Bliss, charging him with second-degree murder.

The latest update in the case was announced Tuesday by New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella in a news release.

The indictment accuses Bliss of causing the toddler’s death through “abusive violence” and failing to seek prompt medical care, conduct the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office described as demonstrating “an extreme indifference to the value of human life.” Bliss is scheduled to be arraigned on July 10 in Cheshire County Superior Court.

Hudson died in January 2024 after being found unresponsive at a Keene apartment. Emergency responders were called to the scene on the morning of January 14, where they found the child unconscious and not breathing. He was transported to the hospital but died three days later.

An autopsy revealed Hudson died from blunt force trauma to the head, and his death was ruled a homicide. Following a months-long investigation, Bliss was arrested in March 2025.
