KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) After months serving in an interim capacity, Mark Kreamer has officially been appointed Chief of Cheshire County EMS, county officials announced this week.
Kreamer, who stepped into the role on an interim basis following a leadership transition, has been credited with fostering a positive work environment, improving department culture, and overseeing significant growth within the organization. County officials say his leadership style and deep commitment to emergency medical services made him the clear choice for the permanent position.
Kreamer’s career in EMS began in 2008 after a severe ice storm struck southwestern New Hampshire. He earned his EMT certification in response to that disaster and has since worked with several emergency response agencies, including Greenville Fire & Rescue, Lifeline Ambulance, Trinity EMS, and Peterborough Fire & Rescue. He joined Cheshire County EMS as a paramedic and eventually took on the leadership role.
His appointment as Chief comes at a time when EMS services in the region are working to enhance patient care and strengthen coordination with other emergency response agencies. Kreamer has outlined his priorities as improving service delivery, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring seamless emergency response across Cheshire County.
The department is also supported by Deputy Chief of Operations Ed Atkins, Deputy Chief of Clinical Services Danielle Bishop, and a team of captains, paramedics, and EMTs. County Commission Chairman Terry Clark expressed confidence in Kreamer’s leadership, stating that his commitment to operational excellence and community engagement will help guide Cheshire County EMS forward.
