MARLBOROUGH, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) The weekend snowstorm has caused SAU 29 to shift around its schedule. Originally planned for tonight, the Marlborough School Board public hearing on the 2026-27 budget has been moved to Wednesday, Jan. 28. That meeting will start at 7 p.m., directly following the conclusion of the regular school board meeting at the Marlborough School.
Other schools in SAU 29 that have yet to hold public hearings are Marlow, Harrisville and Westmoreland, all of which are scheduled for the first week in February. Marlow is first, taking place on Monday, Feb. 2 at Perkins Academy, Harrisville takes place two days later on Feb. 4 at the Wells Memorial School, and Westmoreland take place on Friday, Feb. 6 at the Westmoreland Town Hall. Marlow and Westmoreland’s meeting’s both start at 7:00 while Harrisville starts at 6 p.m.
The Keene and Monadnock School Districts have already had their public hearings and are now moving on to their deliberative sessions, both taking place on Saturday, Feb. 7. Keene’s session will take place in the Keene High auditorium at 9 a.m., while Monadnock’s session takes place at the Monadnock Regional High School auditorium at 10 a.m.
These sessions are an opportunity for voters in the municipality of the district to add, make changes, or take things out of the articles on the school budget warrant, before it is finalized and sent to the ballot in March.
