KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Monadnock Family Services (MFS) is undergoing a major leadership transition this spring, announcing the departure of four longstanding staff and board members and the addition of several new leaders.

According to a press release issued by the organization on May 23, the changes coincide with Mental Health Awareness Month and reflect MFS’s ongoing efforts to expand its services and strengthen its regional impact.

Departing from MFS are Chief Financial Officer Gigi Pratt, who has served for more than 15 years; George Piers, Senior Clinical Director, who will step down at the end of May after 16 years; Glenn Galloway, who will leave in July after five years as a board member and two years as treasurer and MRFF board member; and Greg McConahey, who served six years as chair of the Monadnock Regional Foundation for Family Services and three years as vice chair of MCSC.

The agency is bringing on four new team members. Kayla Szczesiul has joined the senior leadership team as director of development. She holds a master’s degree in development strategy from Prescott College and has nearly two decades of experience in nonprofit fundraising and community partnerships.

Gina Burke has been named marketing and fundraising coordinator. She holds a master’s degree in community engagement from Merrimack College and has a background in nonprofit marketing and regional community leadership.

Chris Taggart is expected to begin in June as community program development manager and head of a newly-formed grant writing team. Taggart has previously led youth programs across 18 schools in Massachusetts, secured over $31 million in grant funding, and holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and interdisciplinary studies.

A new chief operating officer is also scheduled to start in June. The individual has over 25 years of experience in healthcare operations, though further details have not yet been released.

The leadership changes come as MFS seeks to enhance its programming and outreach, particularly in youth mental health and school-based partnerships throughout the Monadnock region.
