KEENE, NH (MyKeeneNow) Monadnock Peer Support (MPS) has been officially recognized as a Recovery Friendly Workplace by the Office of Governor Kelly Ayotte, a designation that highlights the organization’s commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for employees navigating substance use and mental health challenges.

The Recovery Friendly Workplace (RFW) Initiative, launched statewide in New Hampshire, encourages businesses and organizations to foster stigma-free workplaces where recovery is actively supported and valued. The program provides resources, education, and collaboration opportunities to help employers support the well-being of their staff and their families.

“We’re honored to be named a Recovery Friendly Workplace. This designation affirms our belief that every individual deserves support, not just as an employee, but as a whole person,” said Karen Richi, Administrative Director at MPS.

Monadnock Peer Support, which offers peer-led mental health services throughout the Monadnock Region, has made wellness a cornerstone of its internal culture and external programming. The organization focuses on self-directed recovery and strives to provide a safe space for individuals to build connections and find hope.

“Monadnock Peer Support is not just a team of individuals who provide support and guidance to those in the Community who are in need, but MPS is a family, a village, that gives us that safe place where we can be ourselves. A place where it’s okay to not be okay, and it’s okay to talk about it,” said Amanda Maguire, Program Support Staff member.
