MONADNOCK REGION, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) This weekend, the Monadnock Region will come alive as local businesses, artisans, and communities unite to celebrate Small Business Saturday this weekend and officially kick off the holiday shopping season Nov. 30.  Shoppers at several area businesses will find a variety of goods, services, and festive events, all aimed at promoting and supporting the vibrant local economy.

Two downtown Keene businesses will be in on the Small Business Saturday fun:

Birdies will host a “Sip and Shop” event from 10 AM to 2 PM, featuring local vendors selling their creations alongside its delicious lunch specials.

Shadow and Soul Emporium & Tea Lounge: Step into a magical world of metaphysical goods, curated gifts, and a cozy tea lounge. To kick off the holiday season, Shadow and Soul is offering photos with Krampus, a quirky holiday tradition that’s both fun and memorable. Shoppers will find stocking stuffers, crystals, candles, vinyl records, and more. Plus, take advantage of their gift certificate promotion: get a $50 certificate for just $40, available through Dec. 15.

In Swanzey, shoppers can stock up on supplies and decor at The She Shed. This family-owned treasure trove features home décor, pottery, plants, and handcrafted items from local artists. On Saturday, shoppers can enjoy tote bag giveaways (while supplies last), raffles every 15 minutes from 1 to 3 p.m., and a festive atmosphere.

Foodies won’t want to miss Orchard Hill Breadworks in Alstead, which is celebrating the season with its “Holiday Shop Saturdays.” This grand opening of their newly expanded stand will feature artisan breads and festive treats through December.

Meanwhile, Rabbit Ridge Artisans will be showcasing handmade goods at the Summit Winery in Westmoreland, where wine tastings meet local artistry.

Art lovers should head to Walpole for the Walpole Artisans Annual Art and Craft Tour, showcasing locally made gifts and original works by talented juried members.
