KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Drivers traveling along West Street early Friday morning should expect minor delays as construction crews perform work at the intersection of West and Island streets.
According to the City of Keene, SUR Construction — the city’s contractor — will begin work at 7 a.m. on Oct. 10. During that time, eastbound traffic on West Street will be reduced to one lane, and traffic patterns in the area may be temporarily shifted to accommodate the project.
Flaggers will be on site to help guide vehicles safely around the work zone. The city expects the work to wrap up and normal traffic flow to resume by about 9 a.m.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible, remain alert, and follow all posted signs and directions from traffic crews. Island Street will remain accessible from Winchester Street throughout the project.
