KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) A serious crash involving a car and a motorcycle at the Winchester Street roundabout sent one person to the hospital by helicopter Monday morning.
The collision happened shortly before 10 a.m. in the eastbound lane of Route 101, just as both vehicles were exiting the roundabout. According to a news release from Keene police, the vehicles—a 2020 Mercedes sedan and a 2024 Kawasaki motorcycle—were both headed east at the time.
The motorcyclist, identified as 23-year-old Teagan Cairns of Keene, suffered significant injuries and was first taken to Cheshire Medical Center before being airlifted for more advanced treatment, the release said. The car’s driver, 40-year-old Crystal Doolan of Plymouth, Massachusetts, was also transported to the hospital. A male passenger in the Mercedes was not injured.
Police say the cause of the crash remains under investigation by the department’s Collision Analysis Team. Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Detective Lieutenant Chidester at 357-9820.
