KEENE, N.H.  (MyKeeneNow) Retired weather forecaster Pat Pagano made a guest appearance on Good Morning with Dan Mitchell on WKBK Radio last week, offering insights into New England’s upcoming winter storms and discussing life after retirement.

During the conversation, Pagano warned that the region is in for a prolonged period of snow, with multiple storms expected over the next week. In addition to last week’s storms he predicted, he said additional snow events could arrive every few days through Feb. 17, potentially leading to accumulations of 1 to 2 feet by President’s Day.

With treacherous travel conditions then-looming, callers sought Pagano’s advice on the best times to hit the road. One listener planning a drive from Maryland to New Jersey was advised to leave between 2 and 3 a.m. to avoid a hazardous mix of snow and rain. Another caller heading to Michigan was cautioned about worsening conditions later in the week.

While much of the discussion focused on the forecast, Pagano also spoke about his transition into retirement, sharing that he has been keeping busy with yoga, television shows, and renovations at his home weather center. However, he admitted that winter’s grip has put some of his outdoor projects on hold.

As New England braces for a potentially relentless stretch of winter weather, Pagano’s forecast serves as a reminder to stay prepared—and to check in often for updates as the storms roll through.
