SWANZEY, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) At the Monadnock Humane Society, this week’s featured pets are Daisy and Brownie, a bonded pair of 4-year-old female Holland Lop bunnies looking for their forever home. These two sisters came to the shelter after their previous owner could no longer care for them, and now they’re ready to hop into a new chapter of their lives!

Daisy is the gentler of the two—mellow, docile, and happy to be handled. She enjoys being picked up and loves a good cuddle! Brownie, on the other hand, is the more dominant and protective sister. While she can be a little territorial at times, with patience and a slow approach, she warms up to people—especially those who come bearing treats! Brownie is particularly protective of Daisy and always makes sure her sister is safe.

Because these two girls are inseparable, they must be adopted together. Brownie may sometimes assert her dominance over Daisy, but with enough space to explore and play, this behavior tends to ease. Both bunnies have a special love for apple branches and carrots—treats are the way to their hearts!

Daisy and Brownie would thrive in a home where they have plenty of room to roam and a family that understands their unique personalities. If you’re looking for a bonded pair to add to your family, these two are ready to bring you lots of love and bunny joy!

To meet Daisy and Brownie, visit the Monadnock Humane Society during open hours on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or call Adoption & Foster Care Coordinator Nicole Benn at 354-4004 to schedule an appointment. Immediate assistance is available by calling the adoption desk at 352-9011.
