SWANZEY, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Meet Jager, a sizable man of 34 pounds who has captured the hearts of everyone at the Monadnock Humane Society. Now on a serious diet to support his health, Jager is working with the shelter team and veterinarians on meal plans and fun play routines that encourage exercise—and it’s already paying off. This gentle giant has shed a few pounds and is well on his way to a happier, healthier life.
Though he can be a little shy at first, once Jager settles in, he transforms into a total purr machine who adores attention and being near his people. Underneath that initial uncertainty is an affectionate, loyal companion who bonds deeply with his human family.
For someone ready to share patience, love, and support for his health journey, Jager offers endless purrs, snuggles, and devotion in return.
Visit Jager during open hours:
Thursday through Sunday, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Monadnock Humane Society, Route 10, Swanzey
