This busy pup thrives when she has plenty of daily exercise, enrichment activities, and a predictable routine to help her feel confident and content. After a full day of fun and adventure, Mabel is more than happy to curl up and transform into a total snuggle bug.

Mabel can be a little unsure when first meeting strangers—especially taller men—but with patient, positive introductions, she warms up nicely. The shelter team has worked with her to help build confidence in new situations, and she continues to make great progress.

She does well with kids, though her large size means she may occasionally forget just how big she is. Mabel has previously lived with cats and may be inclined to chase, so a cat-savvy home or thoughtful management would be important. Her history with other dogs is mixed, and she may be happiest as the only dog in the home where she can soak up all the love and attention.

Mabel is looking for a structured, active, and loving family ready to provide exercise, consistency, and plenty of cuddles. For the right home, she promises loyalty, enthusiasm, and endless snuggles at the end of every adventure.
