SWANZEY, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) At the Monadnock Humane Society, this week’s featured pet is Pepper, a 7-year-old female Silver Fox rabbit with a big heart and a love for attention.
Pepper may only have one eye, but that doesn’t stop her from seeing plenty of love in her future—maybe with you! She’s a friendly and affectionate rabbit who enjoys being petted and doesn’t mind being handled, making her a great companion for gentle kids.
She’s mostly litter-box trained and keeps her space tidy, though she does require frequent water refills since she’s a big drinker. Her favorite things include fresh veggies, yummy hay, and—most of all—snacks! She has been spayed and can live happily with other male or female rabbits.
One thing to note: Pepper has a bit of a history with chewing wires (oops!), so her new home should be bunny-proofed with baby gates or supervised playtime. If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate, and slightly snack-obsessed rabbit, Pepper is ready to hop into your heart!
If you’re ready to give Pepper the cozy forever home she deserves, visit the Monadnock Humane Society during open hours on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or call Adoption & Foster Care Coordinator Nicole Benn at 354-4004 to schedule an appointment. Immediate assistance is available by calling the adoption desk at 352-9011.
