SWANZEY, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) At the Monadnock Humane Society, this week’s featured pet is Snickers, a charming 5-year-old male guinea pig with a beautiful coat of brown, white, and tan. Snickers has been through a challenging time recently. His previous owner, who cared for him deeply, passed away, leaving Snickers in search of a new family to love.
Despite his shy nature, Snickers has a sweet and gentle personality that shines through once he feels safe in his surroundings. While he’s not overly fond of being picked up, he enjoys being held and pet—and will reward you with adorable purrs when you find his favorite spots!
Snickers is a foodie at heart, with a special love for leafy greens and yogurt bites. At the shelter, he prefers a quiet environment with hidey homes and tunnels where he can retreat when he needs some alone time. With patience and care, Snickers is sure to blossom into a playful and curious companion.
He’s seeking a calm and loving “retirement home” where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by kindness and affection. If you’re ready to offer Snickers the stable and peaceful home he deserves, he could be the perfect addition to your family.
To meet Snickers, visit the Monadnock Humane Society during open hours on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or call Adoption & Foster Care Coordinator Nicole Benn 354-4004 to schedule an appointment. Immediate assistance is available by calling the adoption desk at 603-352-9011.
