KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – Police have identified the seven people who were injured in a major crash on Route 9 Sunday morning.

The crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. Sunday near the Keene and Westmoreland town line and involved two vehicles and a motorcycle. Because of the number of people injured police declared a level 1 multi-casualty incident to bolster response efforts.

In an update to WKBK and MyKeeneNow early Tuesday Keene Police Sgt. Timothy Richmond said the crash involved a Chrysler minivan, Volkswagen Beetle, and a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

The passenger of the minivan, identified as Benjamin Fidler, 39, was trapped inside of the vehicle and sustained injuries to his arm, ribs, and back. He was removed from the vehicle and taken to Cheshire Medical Center before being airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon for further treatment. Richmond said Fidler’s injuries were not life threatening, but didn’t have an update on his condition.

The driver of the minivan, identified as Jessica Fidler, 38, sustained injuries to her leg, hip, hand, and back, and was taken to Cheshire Medical Center for treatment and has since been released. The Pennsylvania couples three children were in the back of the van and all sustained bruising to their upper extremities from the seatbelts. They were all transported to Cheshire as well and have been released. The family dog was also in the vehicle, who Richmond says is fine.

The driver of the Volkswagen was identified as Alexis Medina of Westmoreland. Medina sustained a head and hand injury and was treated at Cheshire Medical as well.

Andrew Wilkey, 38, of Connecticut was identified as the driver of the motorcycle. The extent of his injuries are unknown, but Richmond said they are not life threatening. He was taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Richmond said he’s still waiting to speak to multiple witnesses, so he’s unsure when the final cause will be released.
