KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Authorities have released the names of the two men involved in last week’s early-morning collision on Routes 9 and 12 in Keene.

The crash, which happened shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday just north of West Street, left one driver hospitalized with leg injuries and forced a temporary closure of part of Route 12.

According to police, 57-year-old Orland Rounds of Westminster, VT, was behind the wheel of a Toyota Tundra traveling south when his vehicle struck a northbound Hino truck head-on. The truck was operated by 26-year-old Johan Mejia Taborda of Winthrop, Mass., who escaped injury.

Rounds was taken by ambulance to Cheshire Medical Center. Police said Tuesday they did not have an update on the extent of his injuries.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged and later towed from the scene.
