CLAREMONT, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – A high-speed chase through Claremont ended in a crash late Wednesday night.

N.H. State Trooper Michael Gilboy was traveling westbound on Washington Street in Claremont around 10:30 p.m. when he noticed a vehicle swerving out of its lane, according to a news release. Upon further investigation, he discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen from Harrisville earlier that day.

Despite Trooper Gilboy activating his emergency lights, the driver, later identified as 26-year-old Anthony Wilson of Keene, refused to stop, initiating a pursuit. During the chase, Wilson lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and crash.

Wilson was apprehended at the scene without further incident and transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon for treatment of minor injuries. Following medical evaluation, he was released on bail and is scheduled to appear in Claremont District Court on July 22. Wilson faces multiple charges, including disobeying an officer, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, receiving stolen property, aggravated DUI, operating after suspension, and reckless operation.

The Claremont Police Department, Claremont Fire Department, and Golden Cross Ambulance assisted Troopers at the scene. Authorities urge anyone with additional information regarding the incident to contact Trooper Michael Gilboy at 223-4381 or via email at Michael.F.Gilboy@dos.nh.gov.
