SWANZEY, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – Town officials are alerting residents to a phishing scam involving fraudulent emails that appear to be from the Town of Swanzey. The emails falsely imply that recipients, particularly property owners, are owed money from the town.

Authorities are urging residents not to respond to these emails or click on any links within them. The town has confirmed that these messages are not legitimate and did not originate from their offices.

Residents with concerns or questions about these emails are encouraged to contact Tax Collector Kevin Westcott at (603) 352-7411 ext. 109 for verification and further information.

Officials remind residents to remain vigilant against phishing scams and to verify the legitimacy of any unsolicited communications requesting personal or financial information.
