KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – The filing period to run for district officers in New Hampshire School Administrative Unit (SAU) 29 will open later this week.

SAU 29 covers the Chesterfield, Harrisville, Keene, Marlborough, Marlow, Nelson, and Westmoreland School Districts. The filing period will open for all districts this Wednesday January 22nd, and will close on Friday January 31st.

There is one three-year term available on each of the school boards in Harrisville, Marlborough, Marlow, and Nelson.

In Keene there are three three-year terms available on the school board along with one two-year term.

In Chesterfield there are three positions available on the school board, two with three-year terms, and one with a one-year term.

In Westmoreland there are two three-year terms available on the school board, along with one one-year term.

The Chesterfield, Harrisville, Marlborough, Marlow, Nelson, and Westmoreland School Districts will each also elect a Moderator, Clerk, and Treasurer for one-year terms.

Residents who would like to file their candidacy can do so at their town clerk’s office during regular business hours. They’ll appear on the ballot on town voting day in March.
