KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Savings Bank of Walpole is commemorating its 150th anniversary with a series of community-driven initiatives throughout 2025, including the SBW 150 Good Deeds campaign. Dani Ruffo, the bank’s vice president of community engagement and marketing, recently appeared on WKBK’s Good Morning with Dan Mitchell to discuss the milestone and its significance for the Monadnock Region.
Established in 1875, the bank remains a mutual institution dedicated to supporting the local community. In honor of its legacy, it has launched SBW 150 Good Deeds, a year-long initiative encouraging employees to perform 150 acts of kindness. Staff members are organized into teams, each responsible for contributing to the effort through activities such as roadside cleanups and assistance for families in need. Community members are invited to suggest additional good deed ideas through the bank’s website or at branch locations.
The bank has also planned a variety of events to celebrate its anniversary. These include Celebrating Our Legacy, Building Our Future, a spring gathering recognizing individuals who have played a role in the bank’s history, as well as partnerships with local organizations like the Keene SwampBats and Walpole’s Summer Concerts on the Green.
By fostering community engagement and philanthropy, the bank aims to extend the generosity often seen during the holiday season throughout the entire year. More details about the anniversary events and ways to participate in SBW 150 Good Deeds can be found at walpolebank.com/good-deeds.
