(MyKeeneNow) – The Savings Bank of Walpole has reaffirmed its commitment to the community by once again serving as a DeMar Level Sponsor for the 2024 Clarence DeMar Marathon.

The event, set to take place on Sunday, Sept. 29 in Keene, has long been a highlight for both local residents and athletes from around the globe.

This marks the sixth consecutive year that the bank has sponsored the marathon at the highest level, a tradition they intend to continue.

Organized by the Keene Elm City Rotary Club, the marathon’s proceeds support a variety of community initiatives. Among them is the Sneaker Project, which provides sneakers to second graders to encourage physical activity, as well as service trips to Central America, where local youth contribute to building infrastructure and providing clean water in underserved areas.

In addition to financial support, Savings Bank of Walpole employees will also take part in the event by volunteering and hosting a Cheer Station outside the bank’s Court Street branch.

With assets totaling $750 million, the Savings Bank of Walpole offers a variety of financial services for individuals, businesses, and organizations. As part of NH Mutual Bancorp and NHTrust, the bank provides localized wealth management and trust services. For more information about the bank and its offerings, visit walpolebank.com.
