KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – The Scores Running Club is in the midst of hosting a weekly fun run to fund scholarships for area high school students intending to continue their running at the collegiate level.

Runs, which are each 2.8 miles and are open to runners of all ages and levels of ability, have been held on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. starting and finishing at Wheelock Park starting June 29, with the series finishing on Aug. 14. Race director John Matthews said last night’s run was the third to the last – two were cancelled due to inclement weather. The number of participants has fluctuated each week, he added-about a half-dozen runners showed up to last night’s run.

Scores is a non-profit running club based in Keene that looks to promote local causes, support youth running, organize and support local races and support members in their running and personal goals. The club hosts a weekly group run on Tuesdays at 5:30 at Railroad Square.
