CONCORD, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen has secured more than $46 million in federal funding for 20 projects across New Hampshire, following the passage of two bipartisan government funding bills signed into law last week.
The money—part of the Congressionally Directed Spending process—supports a wide range of initiatives, from building community centers and modernizing fire stations to improving military readiness and expanding access to health care and substance use treatment.
Shaheen, a senior member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, said the funding represents a meaningful investment in communities that often struggle to compete for federal dollars.
“For small states like New Hampshire, the Congressionally Directed Spending process levels the playing field and ensures that Granite Staters get their fair share of federal resources,” she said. “These are real dollars that will go directly to projects that will help communities in our state get ahead.”
