WINCHESTER, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Nearly nine months after a fatal crash on Ashuelot Main Street claimed the life of a 20-year-old Keene woman, three people have been arrested in connection to the case following a multi-agency investigation, Winchester Police announced Thursday.

At 4:30 p.m., officers from the Winchester Police Department, assisted by the Cheshire County Sheriff’s Office and Northfield, MA Police, executed six arrest warrants at 38 Richmond Road in Winchester. The arrests stem from an investigation into the Nov. 17, 2024 single-vehicle rollover that resulted in the death of Lydia Massiah and serious injuries to a 16-year-old female passenger.

Arrested today were Anthony Doleszny, of Keene, on charges of prohibited sales and two counts of criminal threatening; Heather Masucci, of Winchester, on charges of intentional contribution to the delinquency of a minor and endangering the welfare of a child; and Derek Baldwin, of Winchester, on two counts of criminal threatening, two counts of reckless conduct, two counts of criminal restraint and two counts of simple assault.

According to Winchester Police Chief David Rice, the charges filed today relate to “a course of conduct prior to the crash and incidents that came to the attention of investigators during the investigation.” The investigation remains active and ongoing.

On the night of Nov. 17, 2024, police responded to a rollover crash on Route 119 near the Pisgah State Park parking lot. The vehicle, a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta registered to Massiah, had crossed the center line in a series of S-curves, struck a utility pole, and overturned. Police said the crash was captured on surveillance video and reconstructed by a trained motor vehicle investigator.

Massiah, who was ejected from the car, was airlifted to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. She died from her injuries on Nov. 23. The teenage passenger was extricated from the wreckage and treated for serious, non-life-threatening injuries at Cheshire Medical Center.

The investigation determined that alcohol and driver inattention were primary contributing factors, and that lack of seatbelt use significantly worsened the outcome. Investigators executed multiple search and arrest warrants over the past several months.

Chief Rice said today’s arrests mark a significant development in the case but encouraged anyone with additional information to contact the Winchester Police Department.
