HINSDALE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Three hikers were rescued Sunday after losing their way in Madame Sherri Forest, according to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.

Authorities said in a news release Juliana Bergeron, 72, and Arto Leino, 86, both of Keene, along with Andrine Ahlquist, 18, of Risør, Norway, became disoriented on the trail system and called for help just before 3:20 p.m.

A New Hampshire Conservation Officer responded to the Anne Stokes Loop trailhead, reached the hikers just before 6 p.m. and escorted them safely back, arriving at the trailhead at about 6:35 p.m., the release said.
