KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – The inaugural season of the Keene State College Varsity Ice Hockey program gets underway this week.

In the summer of 2023, the Keene State Athletics Department announced that Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey, along with ESports, would be added to its list of varsity programs starting in the 2024-25 season.

The Ice Hockey season begins this Friday at Keene Ice on Marlboro Street in Keene. The women will host Plymouth University at 4 p.m., followed by the men hosting Rivier University at 8 p.m.

Tickets are on sale now at https://usnh.evenue.net/events/KSMH.

Keene Ice will be cleared out in-between the two games, so those who would like to attend both will need to purchase separate tickets for each game. Keene State strongly encourages online purchases as supply is limited and tickets may not be available at the door. Doors open about 90 minutes before game time.

The first 200 student who wish to attend each game will be free of charge, but a physical ticket must be picked up from the ticket booth in Spaulding Gymnasium. A separate student ticket will be provided for each game as well. Those tickets will be available beginning on Tuesday.

The games will be broadcast for free on the New Hampshire Army National Guard Owls Media Network as well, with pregame beginning about 15 minutes prior to the start of each game.
