TROY, N.H. – A Troy resident was killed in a motor vehicle crash on Route 12 Saturday night when his vehicle went off the road and struck a large boulder, causing it to overturn.

The accident happened just before midnight in the area of Lawrence Road, N.H. State Police said in a news release Monday.

Police said the driver was Stephen Despinosa, 54, of Troy. Despinosa died from his injuries despite efforts by Keene fire and personnel to save him. The news release said there were no passengers in Despinosa’s vehicle.
