Men’s Track & Field
Freshman Jayden Baker (Norwalk, Conn.) was named the LEC Rookie Field Athlete of the Week from his performance at the Dartmouth Relays on Saturday. Baker’s weekly award is his second time earning the award, as he has only competed in two meets so far as a freshman. Having finished second out of the field of 28 throwers at his first career collegiate meet at the Springfield College Invitational on December 7 with a shot put mark of 14.05, he did even better in his second collegiate met at Dartmouth, with a distance of 14.11. At the Dartmouth Relays, Baker finished third, only placing behind two Division I throwers, one from Dartmouth College and one from Brown University.
Baker and the Owls return to action at the Plymouth State Invitational I on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 10 a.m.
