MARLBOROUGH, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) A 20-year-old Milford man was taken to Cheshire Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries early Wednesday after his vehicle struck a utility pole on Jaffrey Road, according to Marlborough Police Chief Zachary Byam.
Police, firefighters, and Cheshire County EMS responded to the scene around 5:25 a.m. near 64 Jaffrey Road (Route 124), where officers found a single vehicle that had crashed into a pole along a sharp left-hand curve. The impact snapped the pole, bringing down wires and forcing an extended road closure.
Eversource crews worked through the morning to replace the damaged pole, while the New Hampshire Department of Transportation helped reroute traffic. Keene Towing and Recovery removed the vehicle from the scene, and the road was reopened to motorists at approximately 1:40 p.m.
