DUBLIN, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) — Police have identified the three people involved in a fatal crash Tuesday evening on Route 137 at Goldmine Road in Dublin.

The Dublin Police Department said Wednesday that investigators determined a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox, operated by 62-year-old James Picotte of Dublin, was traveling southbound on Route 137 when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a northbound 2017 Mazda 3.

The Mazda was operated by 42-year-old Timothy Wilder of Jaffrey.

A passenger in Picotte’s Chevrolet Equinox was identified as 68-year-old Timothy Sirois of Dublin. Sirois died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Picotte and Wilder were both transported to UMass Memorial Medical Center by UMass LifeFlight. Police said Wednesday that both remain in critical condition.

The crash happened at approximately 5:22 p.m. Tuesday. Route 137 was closed in the area of Goldmine Road for approximately two and a half hours while emergency crews responded and police investigated.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Police said it is not yet known why Picotte’s vehicle crossed the centerline.

The Dublin Police Department was assisted by the Dublin Fire Department/Rescue, Jaffrey Fire Department, Peterborough Fire Department, Jaffrey Police Department, Marlborough Police Department, Harrisville Fire Department, Gauthier’s Towing and UMass LifeFlight. Harrisville firefighters assisted by establishing landing zones for UMass LifeFlight.
