MONADNOCK REGION, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Labor Day weekend offers a packed lineup of music, art, theater and community events across the Monadnock Region and nearby Vermont, including the Keene Music Festival, Art in the Park, live performances, a film festival and the annual Guilford Fair.

Friday, Sept. 4

Gallery Walk: Circus at the Museum
5-8 p.m., Brattleboro Museum & Art Center, 10 Vernon St., Brattleboro, Vt. Free. The Brattleboro Museum & Art Center will stay open late for the monthly Gallery Walk, with acrobats and aerialists from the New England Center for Circus Arts performing outside the museum at 6 and 6:45 p.m. Visitors can also explore the museum’s summer exhibitions.

Hadestown: The Musical
6:30 p.m., The Park Theatre, 19 Main St., Jaffrey. Tickets are $15. The Park Theatre will screen the filmed stage production of the Tony Award-winning musical, a retelling of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth that also follows Hades and Persephone. Additional screenings are scheduled Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 5

Keene Music Festival
11 a.m.-10 p.m., downtown Keene. Free. Main Street will become the center of a daylong celebration of original music, with more than 60 acts expected across multiple outdoor stages. The festival features performers representing a wide range of genres, from folk and jazz to rock, punk, hip-hop, metal and electronic music.

Art in the Park
10 a.m.-4 p.m., Ashuelot River Park, 273 West St., Keene. Free admission and parking. The 68th annual Art in the Park brings more than 80 artists to the park for a two-day outdoor show and sale featuring painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, mixed media and other forms of art. The event also includes an art raffle benefiting the Monadnock Area Artists Association scholarship fund, food and frozen treats. The show continues Sunday.

Hadestown: The Musical
6:30 p.m., The Park Theatre, 19 Main St., Jaffrey. Tickets are $15. The filmed stage production continues its three-day run at The Park Theatre.

The Kennedys
7 p.m., Deb’s House, Harrisville. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the show; children younger than 16 receive a $10 discount. Pete and Maura Kennedy bring their blend of folk, rock and roots music to the intimate house-concert setting. Doors open at 6 p.m., with a 30th anniversary video beginning at 6:45 p.m. A potluck is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Reverend Horton Heat With Messer Chups
7:30 p.m., The Park Theatre, 19 Main St., Jaffrey. Tickets are $29-$49. Reverend Horton Heat brings his high-energy rockabilly and psychobilly sound to Jaffrey, with Messer Chups joining the bill for a night of surf rock, garage rock and vintage horror and sci-fi-inspired sounds.

Guilford Fair

The traditional agricultural fair features farm animals, exhibits, a farmers market, classic cars, sheep shearing, ox pulls, bingo, a talent show, rides and more. Ride bracelets will be available Sunday from 1-4 p.m. for $25. The fair continues Sunday and Monday.

Lyle Hutchins
11 a.m., Guerrilla Grill, 176 Main St., Keene. Free. New Hampshire singer-songwriter Lyle Hutchins performs a blend of alternative rock, Americana and folktronica. Hutchins, who was raised in Chesterfield, released his debut album, “Flatlander,” after graduating from college in New Orleans.

Growth By Giving Music Fest
11 a.m.-7 p.m., Tempesta’s Restaurant, 401 Winchester St., Keene. Tickets are $40. The second annual festival combines live music with fundraising for local nonprofits. The lineup includes Afterthought, The Equalites, Waking Finnegan, Superunknown and headliner Draw The Line, an Aerosmith tribute band. Food, drinks, raffles and nonprofit activities will also be part of the day.

Labor Film Festival: “Partners”
4 p.m., Latchis Theatre, 50 Main St., Brattleboro, Vt. Admission is by donation. The inaugural Brattleboro Labor Film Festival opens with “Partners,” a documentary about the union organizing campaign at Buffalo Starbucks. A panel discussion will follow the screening. The festival continues with additional screenings Sept. 13, Sept. 27 and Oct. 4.

Evening Music
4 p.m., Antrim Historical Society Building, 100 Main St., Antrim. Free. The Antrim Historical Society presents an afternoon of chamber music featuring Danilo Bonina on Baroque violin, Noriko Yasuda on harpsichord and Andrew Koutroubas on Baroque cello. The program includes works by Bach and Telemann as well as Scottish ayres. Donations will benefit the society’s historic preservation efforts.
