WINCHESTER, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) A local man escaped serious injury Saturday afternoon after crashing his utility terrain vehicle (UTV) off Pudding Hill Road in Winchester.
Emergency crews were called to the scene just after 2 p.m. on July 12, following reports of an off-highway recreational vehicle (OHRV) accident. Responding agencies included the Winchester Police Department, Cheshire County EMS, and a conservation officer from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.
According to officials, 37-year-old Robert Binkowski of Winchester lost control of the UTV while taking a slight curve, causing the vehicle to veer off course and strike several trees. Binkowski sustained injuries described as non-life-threatening and declined ambulance transport at the scene.
Preliminary findings suggest that excessive speed played a significant role in the crash.
Authorities are reminding riders to prioritize safety, urging OHRV users to operate within their limits and only on approved trails or with landowner permission.
