KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) City officials have announced an overnight winter weather parking ban to allow crews to carry out snow removal.

The ban, issued by the Public Works Department, takes effect at 11 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, and remains in place until 7 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7. All vehicles must be removed from city streets during that time, including those parked at meters or pay kiosks.

To accommodate residents, the Gilbo East and Elm Street municipal parking lots will be open overnight. Additional public parking lots will also be available, though overnight access rotates by location to allow for snow clearing. Motorists are urged to follow posted signage closely to avoid tickets or towing, particularly in reserved areas.

The city encourages residents to review parking ban rules, maps of public parking lots, and other winter parking resources at KeeneNH.gov/Snow. Residents can also sign up for parking ban alerts delivered by email or text message. Notices are shared through the city’s website, social media channels, and digital signage around Keene.
