Good morning everyone!
Here is the information for our Pet of the Week:
Sampson
Male | Shepherd Mix | Black & Brown | 10 Years Old
Sampson is a sweet and loyal 10-year-old Shepherd mix looking for a fresh start. Life has been a bit tough for him lately—his previous owner could no longer care for him, and he’s been feeling a little overwhelmed in the shelter environment. He’s carrying some extra weight (about 40 pounds more than he should be), but he enjoys going for walks and is ready to get back in shape!
Sampson takes his time warming up to new people, but once he trusts you, he’ll be a devoted companion. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a canine friend to help him adjust. He hasn’t lived with cats before, but with slow introductions, he might do well. A calm, quiet home with older, respectful kids would be ideal, as loud noises—especially fireworks—make him nervous.
One of Sampson’s favorite things is his crate—it’s his safe space where he can relax. He also loves being outside, playing, and soaking up the fresh air. He walks well on a leash and is looking for a patient adopter who will give him the time he needs to come out of his shell.
Could you be the one to give Sampson his second chance? Come meet him during our open hours, Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.!
Thanks, everyone, and have a great week!
