A man, identified as Shane Eskra of Brattleboro, was arrested after a multi-state incident involving gunfire early this morning. The Brattleboro Police Department initially responded to a report of shots fired on Garfield Drive. Later, Eskra was spotted in Hinsdale, brandishing a handgun before fleeing back to Vermont. A standoff ensued on Mount Wantastiquet, where Eskra fired several rounds at officers. He was eventually apprehended with the help of a New Hampshire State Police K-9 unit. Eskra faces multiple charges, including reckless conduct and criminal threatening.
