Though neuropathy sometimes forces him to rest in his truck, Mead remains steadfast in his mission to share a message that saved his life. A former construction business owner, Mead once battled severe addiction, using drugs and alcohol to numb emotional pain from childhood abuse. At his lowest, he nearly lost his life several times, but everything changed 18 years ago when a divine encounter led him to find faith in Jesus Christ. Now, Mead dedicates his life to spreading a message of hope and redemption to anyone willing to listen, standing by the roadside with his cross, ready to share his story of transformation.
Keene State College is hosting the 2024 Little East Conference (LEC) Men’s Golf Championship at the Keene Country Club, after a last-minute venue change from Western Connecticut. The two-day tournament begins on Wednesday, October 2, with six teams competing for the conference title. Keene State, last year’s runner-up, will rely on standout golfers Sean Bono and Sean McCaffrey as they aim for victory. Rounds start at 9:00 a.m. each day, and spectators are encouraged to attend and witness top collegiate golfers in action.
