KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) One year ago today, a new voice in local journalism launched with a promise to inform, connect, and celebrate the Monadnock Region. My Keene Now, an independent news website based in Keene, marks its first anniversary today after a remarkable first year serving the community.

Since its launch on June 5, 2024, My Keene Now has published hundreds of stories focused on the people, issues, and events that matter most to the greater Keene area and beyond. With nearly a half-million active users and nearly 1 million pageviews in its first year, the site has become a go-to source for timely, free, and reliable local reporting.

“It’s been an incredible year, and I’m so proud of what we’ve built together,” said Editor-in-Chief Nicole Colson. “Our mission from day one has been to provide accurate, unbiased, and relevant news to our community. The response has been beyond anything we imagined—and we’re just getting started.”

Backed by Monadnock Media Group and supported by founding sponsors Monadnock Ford, Savings Bank of Walpole Diluzio Foley and Fletcher Funeral Home and Monadnock Appliance, My Keene Now launched with the goal of filling a growing void in local news. From breaking news and civic updates to feature stories and small business highlights, the site quickly established itself as a vital source of hyperlocal journalism.

“Our focus has always been Keene, but our coverage—and our readership—extends across the Monadnock Region,” said Colson. “As we move into our second year, we’re committed to growing our reach to more towns, building new partnerships, and continuing to spotlight what makes this region such a special place to live.”

Local residents, civic leaders, and business owners are encouraged to explore My Keene Now, follow along on Facebook, and share story ideas to help shape the next chapter of community news.

“My Keene Now was built for this community,” Colson added. “We believe informed communities are stronger communities—and we’re here to keep Keene and the Monadnock Region informed, connected, and heard.”
