KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Shoppers and visitors downtown will be able to park at no cost beginning Thursday as the City of Keene rolls out free holiday parking through Christmas Day, with free metered parking also available again on New Year’s Day.

The temporary program applies to on-street meters in the downtown area and surrounding streets, including Washington, West and Winter streets and nearby side roads. City officials emphasized that standard parking rules remain in effect, including restrictions for accessible and reserved spaces and posted time limits. Vehicles parked illegally or over time may still be ticketed.
