KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) MoCo Arts was the featured guest Tuesday on Good Morning with Dan Mitchell on WKBK, offering listeners a preview of its upcoming “Nutcracker” performances at the Red Fern Art Center and introducing several dancers taking on featured roles this season.

During the broadcast, former MoCo Arts student Harry Warshaw called into the studio to discuss his return to the local stage. Warshaw, now a professional dancer with Ballet Memphis, will perform the role of the Sugar Plum Cavalier in this year’s production. He trained at MoCo before leaving at a young age to pursue professional dance studies and has since performed across the country.

The interview also highlighted current MoCo seniors Natasha Walter and Lily Fitzpatrick, both of whom have been dancing with the organization since early childhood. Walter will appear in multiple roles, including Columbine Doll, Snow, Spanish, Marzipan, and Flowers. Fitzpatrick will perform as the Soldier Doll and also dance in Snow, Spanish, Marzipan, and Flowers.

MoCo’s “Nutcracker is known for its distinctive blend of ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and hip hop. The production features a cast of more than 135 dancers, supported by parent volunteers who assist with backstage coordination and costume changes.

Performances are scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Red Fern Art Center. Each show runs approximately two hours with an intermission. Tickets are available online through MoCo Arts.
