KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – The Monadnock Region will be under a Winter Weather Advisory overnight tonight and into the evening Monday.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory, beginning at 10:00 p.m. Sunday night, currently set to expire at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

According to the advisory, mixed precipitation is expected with total ice accumulations between one quarter and four tenths of an inch in portions of south central and southwest Maine, and southern New Hampshire.

Driving conditions could become hazardous due to the icy road conditions overnight Sunday and for the Monday morning commute, especially on untreated side roads.

Drivers are urged to use caution. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation says to slow down and allow extra time for travel, expect slick roads and changing conditions, increase your following distance, and do not crowd plow or treatment vehicles as crews will be out working to keep roads safe.
