KEENE, N.H. – Five people were arrested Thursday evening in Keene following the execution of a search warrant earlier in the day, Keene police announced.
The individuals taken into custody during the noon operation at 29 Elm St. were identified as Michael Buckley, 35, of Winchester; Isiah Davis, 34, also of Winchester; Angela Hebert, 39, of Keene; John Olmstead, 43, of Keene; and Justina Steffy, 31, of West Lebanon, according to a news release issued by Keene Police Capt. According to the release, Buckley faces charges of alleged possession of a firearm as a felon and resisting arrest, while Davis was arrested on an electronic bench warrant, an outstanding arrest warrant for theft, and a federal arrest warrant for parole violation in a narcotics case. Hebert was apprehended on a warrant related to alleged fraudulent use of a credit card, and Olmstead faces a charge of receiving stolen property, specifically a firearm, according to law enforcement officials. Steffy was arrested on two warrants alleging theft.
The police action on Thursday was the result of a collaborative investigation between the Keene Police Department and the Springfield, Mass., office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) into narcotics possession and distribution in the Keene area. Additional charges and arrests related to narcotics and firearms offenses are anticipated based on evidence obtained during the execution of the search warrant, authorities stated.
The investigation is part of Operation Granite Shield, a state-funded initiative aimed at eradicating illicit drug distribution in New Hampshire.
