JAFFREY, N.H.-(MyKeeneNow) A 17-year-old from Dublin died Saturday afternoon when his electric motor scooter was hit by a motor vehicle

Jaffrey police were dispatched to Dublin Road near Gilsun Road in Jaffrey just after 1 p.m. for a head-on collision involving a car and an electric scooter, according to a news release. The teenager sustained serious injuries and was flown to UMASS in Worcester, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police did not say whether the driver of the black 2007 Saab, 22-year-old Dennis Jewell of Jaffrey, was injured.

The crash is under investigation. The initial investigation has suggested “there was no inappropriate driving by the operator of the car.”

The Jaffrey Police Department was assisted by the Dublin Police Department, Jaffrey Fire Department, Jaffrey-Rindge Memorial Ambulance, Peterborough Ambulance.
