MONADNOCK REGION, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) Boston Red Sox baseball is returning to the radio waves in the Monadnock Region, with Monadnock Media Group bringing the team’s broadcasts back to local listeners beginning today, Aug. 4.

The Red Sox will be heard locally on Rewind 92.7 and 102.3/WKVT as part of the WEEI Red Sox Radio Network. The agreement covers the remainder of the 2026 season as well as the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

The return comes after an outcry from local baseball fans who lost access to Red Sox games on local radio following a change in ownership of the region’s previous affiliate.

Randy Cable, general manager of Monadnock Media Group, said the company recognized the importance of restoring the broadcasts for listeners throughout the region.

“We heard the outcry,” Cable said. “We wanted to bring the Red Sox back to the radio waves in the Monadnock Region.”

Cable said local businesses also played an important role in making the broadcasts possible by sponsoring the programming.

“We had a bunch of local businesses that came together to help us make this work by sponsoring it,” Cable said. “iIt’s because of them that we’re able to do it.”

The Red Sox broadcasts will be carried through the WEEI Red Sox Radio Network, which features a lineup of experienced broadcasters, including Will Flemming, Sean McDonough and Mike Monaco on play-by-play, along with former Red Sox players and analysts Will Middlebrooks, Lou Merloni and Lenny DiNardo.

Other members of the broadcast team include Rob Bradford, Cooper Boardman and Joe Weil.

For the remainder of the 2026 regular season, the Red Sox are scheduled to play nearly every day, beginning with a three-game home series against the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The Aug. 4 game is scheduled for a 7:10 p.m. first pitch, with the WEEI pregame broadcast beginning one hour earlier at 6:10 p.m.

The Red Sox will then host the Athletics for three games Aug. 7-9 before heading to Toronto for a four-game series.

Under the WEEI network agreement, regular-season broadcasts begin 60 minutes before first pitch and include network pregame and postgame programming along with the live game broadcast.

The network will carry the broadcasts through the end of the 2026 season and throughout the 2027 and 2028 seasons, giving local fans several more years of access to Red Sox baseball on the radio.

For Monadnock Media Group, Cable said the goal is to make sure the games are once again available to the community.

“It’s great to have them back,” Cable said.

The return also gives local businesses an opportunity to connect with listeners through sponsorships surrounding one of the region’s longtime sports traditions.

With the Red Sox back on local radio, fans can once again follow the team’s games without leaving the Monadnock Region’s radio dial.
