KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) MyKeeneNow.com and SaveLocalDeals.com are looking for someone who knows — or wants to get to know — the Monadnock Region’s restaurants, entertainment businesses and local events.

The two local media and marketing brands are hiring a part-time Media Advisor / Business Development representative, a role focused on helping locally owned businesses connect with customers through local advertising, sponsored content, promotions and special offers.

The position is expected to average about 10 hours per week and will involve a mix of phone outreach, follow-up and in-person visits with business owners and other local decision-makers.

The person hired will develop relationships with independently owned restaurants, breweries, attractions, entertainment businesses and event organizers in the Keene area. The role will include helping businesses create offers for SaveLocalDeals.com, developing sponsored stories for MyKeeneNow.com and connecting businesses with sponsorship opportunities tied to seasonal guides and local events.

Those opportunities could include stories about a new business opening, an anniversary, a new menu or a business’s involvement in the community, as well as sponsorships connected to restaurant, date-night, holiday and live-music guides.

The position is designed as a relationship-building role rather than a high-volume cold-calling job. During the first 90 days, the successful candidate will work toward developing a prospect list of about 100 local businesses, having meaningful conversations with 40 to 50 of them and turning qualified prospects into appointments, proposals and new clients.

Previous advertising or sales experience is not required.

The companies are seeking someone who enjoys meeting people, is comfortable communicating by phone and in person, can identify marketing and storytelling opportunities for local businesses and is organized enough to manage follow-up and client relationships.

Familiarity with Keene’s restaurant, brewery and entertainment scene is considered a plus, but the position is also intended for someone willing to learn the local market.

The part-time schedule is designed to provide flexibility for someone balancing another job, school or family commitments.

Applicants can send a resume and a short note about why they are interested in the position to curtis.dodge@monadnockmediagroup.com.
