RINDGE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – The Rindge Fire Department responded to two separate motor vehicle accidents on Route 119 on Sunday resulting in injuries and significant vehicle damage.

The first accident occurred around 12:30 p.m., at the intersection of Route 119 and Wellington Road, according to a Facebook post from the fire department. A collision involving two motorcycles and a car left one motorcyclist with serious injuries, necessitating an airlift to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA. The second motorcyclist escaped with minor injuries, while the car’s occupants were unharmed.

Emergency response teams from Rindge Police Department, Jaffrey Rindge Memorial Ambulance, UMass Memorial LifeFlight, and the NH Department of Transportation assisted at the scene.

Later that afternoon, at 4:27 p.m., emergency units were dispatched again to Route 119, this time at the intersection with Middle Winchendon Road. A two-car crash, reported to involve four people, left both vehicles heavily damaged. With Jaffrey Ambulance engaged on another call, ambulances were summoned from Peterborough Fire & Rescue and Fitzwilliam Fire Department. One individual was transported to a local hospital by Peterborough Ambulance, while the remaining three involved declined medical transport.

The Rindge Fire Department has yet to release further details on the accidents.
